 If you dip you wet flies directly in drying dust the fish slime will still clog the feathers. 

Place the wet dry fly between the amadou pads BEFORE using the drying dust. Squeeze gently and all the slime will be gone. You won't even need the drying dust anymore.

Just don't drop the amadou in the river. It may soak up all the water and the river will run dry!
