DOHIKU Spider Plus-Fluorocarbon-Tippet-100m
An improved fluorocarbon from DOHIKU: virtually invisible, high knot strength, and abrasion resistant.
Max Spider is a little stiffer and stronger than Spider Plus.
Spider Plus is great when a gentle presentation is needed; like fishing dry flies or flies that need to move easily. It is a trade off as usual.
This fluorocarbon is silky smooth when you run through your fingers and will not curl like the less expensive fluorocarbons do. To test, press it between thumb nail and forefinger and run it through. Then give that piece a good pull to see if it becomes strait again.
These are 100m "guide" spools for the price others charge for 50m.
Truth be told, there are only a few manufacturers of fluorocarbon in the world. The vast majority are re-sellers. Sometimes you pay more just for ... the name on the paper label on the spool.
